The internet gives you the ability to connect with friends, family, and people you've never met before. Today, there are many different ways to communicate online, including social networking, chat and blogging. Chat and instant messaging programs allow you to have conversations with your friends. You can also send 'attachments' with your email including text and graphics files such as letters and photographs. If you have family or friends who live far away, you can use Facebook to keep up with their lives. By following people with similar interests, you can discover new things you wouldn't have found otherwise.
Research
The most common way to find information online is with a search engine. All you have to do is type in a few words, and the search engine will give you a list of results you can click on. There are many different search engines you can use, but Google is the most popular one.
Media
You can now watch TV shows on your computer, and you can connect to the Internet on many TVs and DVD/Blu-ray players. In addition, radio stations from around the world allow you to listen online, and many online-only radio stations now exist.
Commerce
The Internet is commonly used to buy, sell and advertise products. Internet marketers use internet to sell products. There are lots of social media enthusiasts who promote other’s product online via various social media sites. There are lots of publishers available who promote others product by advertising on various websites blogs etc.
The internet banking facility allows people to deposit any bill, transfer money through accounts, and make internet reservations on time from their home.
